Here's a few good movies to watch for at your local Blockbuster if you want to have a good laugh...  Just maybe wait till the kids are in bed!

EuroTrip- Four students tour Europe trying to get to Berlin to meet the gorgeous German pen pal of one student, who decides he loves her after discovering she's not a man.  Extremely funny bits include the kids discovering absinthe in a bar in Bratislava, the song "Scotty Doesn't Know" performed by Lustra, a band fronted by Matt Damon in the movie, and Lucy Lawless (Xena, Warrior Princess) as a dominatrix in Amsterdam offering "Ubersexxx" with a free t-shirt!  Oh yeah, and the pervert on the train who keeps molesting them every time they go into a tunnel...

Keeping it Mum- The new housekeeper is a wonder until they find out she's got a nasty habit of killing people she finds offensive.  And, she finds a whole lot of things offensive.  Starring Rowan Atkinson as a very dry and boring preacher, which in itself is worth renting the movie!
 
Idiocracy- A military experiment to freeze soldier goes horribly wrong leaving the test subject, a below average soldier in suspended animation for 500 years.  When he wakes up he finds that society has been "dumbed down" to the point where he is now considered the greatest mind in the world!  The President of the US is a Wrestler who rides in parades on a Harley Trike while drinking and the Cabinet Ministers all wear giant medallions to identify them.  One was awarded a cabinet seat because he won a contest.

I'm sure this is a valuable insight into my psyche, but I've been having a darned good time laughing my arse off this weekend!

Anyone else seen any good movies lately?

I absolutely loved the movie Accepted.

I own EuroTrip.  I agree that it's pretty good.  Although that damn "Scotty doesn't know..." song gets stuck in my head...

This isn't a new movie and the only people I have met that have actually seen it are Canadians but Brain Donors with John Turturro and cast is one of the top 5 funny movies I have ever seen. It takes a very immature sense of humor to appreciate it but I still laugh for almost an hour straight everytime I watch it.

Yeah, she was definitely a bonus for that movie!  I still laugh my arse off when thinking of her making out with her twin brother in Bratislava after downing a bottle of absinthe!  But the movie was good too.  How often do you see a robot get kicked in the crotch?  And the monk providing the soundtrack to the fight was perfect!

I guess I am not much of a Canadian because I have never seen Brain Donors... I may have to look it up though as it sounds like my kind of film!

    Idiocracy cracks me up, though it sort of makes me wonder how accurate it may have been...

    See, I was actually going to start a topic on how the movie's clips sort of mimic society today, then though, nah, worthless idea. The world is not ready for that yet. So did a search, like any good MTOer wold do, right? So... I merely added a movie clip for sheeps and giggles.  :D
