Well done sir!
That pouch looks awful big for an explorer. But also quite nice.
I love bees
I wonder if we sometime forget how versatile the whole SAK and pouch combination can be in a crisis.Took a trip yesterday to Layer Marney tower. Nice Tudor brickwork and marvellous views once you've climbed the spiral staircase. Right at the top in one of the stairwell windows was a very angry honey bee bashing against the glass with perseverance. That wasn't going to end well for her. Now, I happen to like bees. Try as I might with the guide leaflet she wasn't going to be put off and kept buzzing straight back to the window. I've often found a glass is a handy way to capture and release determined bees in this sort of situation but I didn't have anything to hand. Until I remembered my trusty Black Explorer on my belt. I took that out, put it in my pocket, and slipped my Vic pouch off to use as a safe receptacle with the leaflet over the end. A couple of attempts later and she was inside. At the door I lifted the leaflet off and the bee was on her way. It's not just a SAK that's useful in a small scale crisis !
