I'm finding other multitools I'm interested in carrying lately. What do you all think of this?

Here's yet another. I like the innovation of some of these, even if I know they are substandard.

The one above the Valvoline model looks like you need a degree in mechanical engineering just to open or use it!
There are lots of great designs out there- I just wish folks would splurge a little more on better workmanship, QC and materials.

Of the five tools you have pictured, the FlipGrip is by far and away the best quality construction. (Not that it is of such great quality, it's just that the other four are so horrible!) Like Def says, it is interesting to see the different designs, but why oh why do they have to build them so shoddy?
Anyways, the FlipGrip is interesting. The reverseable plier jaws are downright useful at times. Onboard hex bits are a good idea. The biggest shortcoming (literally) is the knife blades, which due to the design are ridiculously short.
In regards to the Allied wrench/plier tool up at the top........there is a reason why the promo ads never show a top-view picture: The handle is so darn wide, it feels like you are grabbing onto a 2x4 when you pick it up!
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Looks like needlenose pliers on one end, side cutters on the other. If the quality of their construction is good, then it ain't a bad idea.

If these aren't an oddity, I don't know what is! Of course I've posted them before so I don't know if it's really helping or not.

I got that Stanley watch tool from a man in an alley who chain smoked and spoke with a raspy voice. I didn't get a name or even a description as he had the trenchcoat drawn up, almost to the fedora he had snugged down over his eyes.
The ratchet concept was really cool, I agree, but I think the biggest drawback was the sheer bulk. One would have to have an entire handle dedicated to it, cutting down on the overall utility of the tool. Plus, the best part about a ratcheting screwdriver like that is the interchangeable bits. The SportRatchet isn't too bad as it comes with two double ended bits, but to do it "right" they would have to have an entire bit set, adding more bulk.
One thing I always thought would be neat would be to somehow build in one of those small torch things that runs off a Bic lighter. Especially up here in the frozen north, I would make use of a small torch for de-icing locks a hell of alot more than I would make use of the digital tire guage or the small light built into the AutoTool.

Here's another weird one. It has the same handle, pliers, and blades as the one lonediver showed us. But it has some other type of strange wrench head on it.

There was a tool with a compass & altimeter & a bunch of blades & tools that folded out of it, but I can't find it now that was pretty strange. I'm sure you all remember it. Maybe it was made by Schrade?
