on: July 03, 2016, 04:28:54 PM
Hi!

Do you know any brand of slip joint knives with blunt tip, apart from SAK or Opinels ones???

For example, I refer if is there any USA made slipjoint knife with only blunt tip blades?

Thanks!!!

Opinels are friction folders, not slip joints. Annd neither have blunt tips, (with the exception of "my First Victorinox")

Ate you looking specifically for Sheepsfoot blades? What about Wharncliffe blade shapes?

And since traditional "American" blades are often multibladed, does the knife have to have only one blade, or is more acceptable? Id suggest a Case Trapper if multiple blades are OK, they usually have a Sheepsfoot and a clip point blade.

Opinel actually makes one of those too;

Budding blades, Spey blades, fat spearpoints in sunfish. These are not really rounded but the point is almost non-existant.

Try looking for Trapper models.

I know it doesn't meet your criteria, but figured there might be more people who didn't know Opinel makes the rounded model.
