I'm sure glad Fenix has FINALLY wised up and started to add some texture to their lights for grip.  It appears that they are responding very quickly to competition from NiteCore.  This is one thing that is amazing about Fenix, they seem to have an engineering department that can adapt the product to the market very efficiently.

It would appear that the strong relationship between 4Sevens and NiteCore is also improving Fenix's product in an indirect manner.

Knurlings are nice, but don't like the anitroll collar, destroyed the sleek look of the light.

I agree, the LD10 doesn't look so bad but the LD20 looks a bit goofy :-\

The crenelated bit's and bob's might be a bit of a no no over here though :(. Not illegal, but if you smurf someone around the head with one, the police and courts might frown upon them, for the excessive wounding they'd cause :-\

I think you're being paranoid...even for you :D I seriously doubt you'd have more of a problem because you hit someone with a lumpy tube, rather than just a normal tube :-\

Well one of the things that appealed to me about the L2 was it's lack of crenelations :), when I smack some one with it, I've not got to pick lumps of congealed gore of it :D

I really like it :), mainly for it's low battery comsumption, but also coz it's balance is really close to an old kubaton I used to have :)

I do like the flexibility of it too, when I was sleeping in the tent with my boy, I'd use it to read with for about an hour with no eye strain, so all in all I'd really recommend one :)

Could get the L1D body for your L2D, means you only have one light, but its cheaper :D

Well the L1D body on its own would be £12.50 buying an L1D Q5 would probably be about £30odd. Basically the low-med-high are the same but with half the runtime, the turbo mode is lower and has about 2/3rds the runtime (i think).

Hmm, but the thing I love most is the low consumption :-\, so forgive my tired brain, but it wouldn't work out cheaper to run would it ??? (by cheaper I mean, as in less need to replace batteries and put even more of the evil thing in the landfills :()

I think it would work out the same, as its 1 battery, but half the runtime. So you'd use the same amount! Or get rechargeable ones and don't worry :D

Good man! :D The L1D does make it a lot easier to carry in a pocket, and you can always put the L2D body in your rucksack with some batteries in (the L1D body should come with a little cap to screw onto a spare body) and you have more power should you need it :)
