I watched this and thought you all might find this cool! I mean how cool would it be to have your name or initials on your knife or mt? Or anything metal in that matter, that look lazer engraved and without a Dremel! All with most stuff around the house.. Check out this video!

Yeah, my fingers are itching, too - but I'm having a big time in my job ( I hate these big times because they involve missing lots of sleep and doing 3 things at once) -
but in 3 weeks everything WILL BE ETCHED!!

That does look pretty cool.  I might have to give it a shot myself.

That looks easy enough. I wonder how long the sharpie darkening of them lasts. I'll have a practice on something then do that to my work surge. Etching looks way better than engraving.

Some of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/STICKY-ALPHABET-LETTERS-ADHESIVE-STICKERS/dp/B017KSSXK8/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468843672&sr=8-2-fkmr1&keywords=small+letter+stencil+stickers and use the nail polish method should work well on a surge I think.

I had a go at this yesterday on my Rebar. To mark it as a Rebar II I used some plastic electric tape to make a stencil. It didn't seem to work on the stainless steel even although it looks like it was working it didn't etch the metal. Maybe I didn't do it for long enough or something ?

Idk, he made it look so freaking easy! And it came out nice, so until I give it a shot I just can't say?
