Dave

Did the travel tag make it with Stan and Kat? I'll track it to New Jersey if it did.

Yep! it made it safe.  I'll enter the # online.

Excellent  :tu:

I've tracked as visiting a geocache in the centre of a park area in New Jersey so it updates the map.

https://www.geocaching.com/track/map_gm.aspx?ID=2985740

Current distance travelled is approx 3646 miles (5868km)

Spending the day in the office rather on the loading dock, so Stan and Kat get to hang out with Stephanie for the day. :)

 not quite. I told her you asked that and she broke up laughing. That belongs to one of the temps here at the warehouse today. :D She's a sweetheart, but Steph can't chew gum and walk at the same time.......

I'd like to welcome the new member of my U Boat crew . Replacing the psychotic Dolly we have mild mannered Ornithologist and qualified Medic, Medical Bill. He is available to give (free) medical advice to all those who require it.

Medical Bill has been making himself useful around the place. Here he is risk assessing my SI ready for Wenger Wednesday. I hope his report clears the SI for use -- he's very thorough.

Does that include sensitive matters, like bees and flowers and chlamydia?

Anything you say to Medical Bill will be kept in the strictest confidence firiki. He is bound by the Hippocratic oath (one for you Hellene's there), even though he isn't a hippo. Fire away!

Medical Boill passed the SI with flying colours and is risk assessing the whole U Boat as I type. I asked him about his REC qualification and he said he's qualified from the school of hard knocks, learnt it on the street, old skool, keeping it real'. So that's a No.

What did yours involve Eamo?

What did yours involve Eamo?

well, it mostly involved remote emergency care training

it covered CPR, AED's bandaging/splinting usual first aid stuff with a bit more emphasis on the outdoors, eg, big emphasis on keeping casualties sheltered/warm etc.

Always know where your towel is.

indeed. that pretty much covers it all really; such useful items so they are. though in fairness those little microfibre towels wouldn't be much use in combat.

Coffee break on the U Boat has been very relaxing since Dolly went away. Even the unpredictable and terrifying Cthennifer is keeping him her itself to itself somewhere in the bowels of the ship. Most days it's just me, R2 and Medical Bill chewing the fat, drinking coffee and watching old episodes of Dad's Army. R2 is off maintaining the torpedo tubes so today it's just me and Bill:

Why is the medic carrying a knife if he's just chilling with coffee? Or is that just for his sak and coffee pic?

Somehow I always thought Medical Bill would be bigger...

Since reading your first aid post and the mention of a traceotomy, he's been brandishing the awl and waiting by me every time I eat and drink anything. It's got so I have to go up top to cough otherwise I fear he will pounce and open my throat 'because that's what he's paid for'.
