Did you kill it or eat it or let it go? I bet that a little unnerving seeing that little bugger crawl across the keyboard just where you was just at.

I'm reminded of the Rooster Cogburn line "Everything in these woods'll either bite ya, stab ya or stick ya!"

Had a disposable cup sitting close by so I flicked him into the cup, compressed him with a paper towel used to wipe my whetstone with and threw him away. Scorpions, Black Widows, Brown Recluse and Yellow Jackets all have a kill on sight status....Wolf Spiders, Mud Daubers and other non aggressive insects have a catch and release rating with a lot of Wolf Spiders getting shooed back under something. They catch a lot of other insects. Caught a Wolf Spider last week that could almost stand rim to rim across my coffee cup....decent sized.

He was a baby, maybe an inch total. Full grown, they get to about 2.5 inches or so. Very common in the Southwest. I've had full grown ones crawl past my face on the pillow and between my toes.

All part of living out in the sticks. What's really weird is I was asleep in 5 min after I turned off the light.

Just another day in rural Texas. I used to live near Hunt for a short time, and the bugs out there got big. Those 2.5" wolf spiders were pretty common, some tarantulas out there too. I live in a big city now, and I have to fight to stop mrs. sLaughter from killing all spiders on sight now ::). I agree with your kill on sight list though, Brown recluses and wasps/hornets/yellow jackets (not too many Black Widows in the big city) arent fun to have around, especially with kids in the picture. I've probably gone through a dozen cans of wasp spray over the last two summers!

Well, I was relaxing on the couch, stretched, looked up and one of those little scorpions (about an inch long) was crawling across the ceiling directly above my face.....    :ahhh

Haven't moved that fast in a loooooooong time! :D

Caught it in a plastic cup and disposed of it.

I think you need to clean your house really quickly...

Maybe they are hiding among your knives - sent them abroad, e.g. to me, for destruction.
