My sister gave me a couple old Classics.
One is a white Hoffritz, the other is a sapphire.
The Hoffritz has screw scissors and the Hoffritz logo is recessed/engraved. Did this once have a metal inlay? (That must have fallen out) or were there Hoffritz knives with the logo done this way? (I've only seen the ones with the inlay or perhaps hot stamp)
The sapphire one (like the Hoffritz) has a tang stamp that reads:
VICTORINOX
SWITZERLAND
STAINLESS
ROSTFREI
according to this image I found in a forum search, this would make it pre-1986.

Last question, on sakwiki in the colors section, I see 5 shades of blue cellidor, with a 6th (almost-black dark blue) mentioned...but I have seen a few lighter clear blue SAKs. I own one of them. It's a tinker. This color is definitely lighter than the saphire color. I dont have a good pic with me...but does anybody know about this color? It's like clear light blue...maybe it came paired with one of those kitchen knives? Ive seen the color called "Topaz" on ebay listings...but just because somebody called it that doesn't mean it's the official name...
