Congratulations Grant. You may be a small potato now, but if you take all of our suggestions on how to improve the Canada Post business to the very top executives you will grow into a potatoe plant with more potatoes beneath it. Send me a PM anytime you want Free Advice.

Sorry to hear that, Boss.
The up shot is that I am in a city that exists almost entirely for the benefit of the Federal government and I just passed another federal security clearance to join Canada Post. I already have security clearances (Marine Transit, firearms and passport) but they are all years ago and who knows what international terrorist or criminal acts I may have performed since them. Having a fresh clearance might make a difference. Def
I had my first shift yesterday.Between my mobility issues, the cold I'm currently enjoying, the late start (I usually start at 6, I didn't get the call until almost 10), the rain, the unfamiliar area and a few other factors, it was not one of my more shining moments. But, thankfully the arthritis pain I'm having today makes it almost impossible to work again today, even if I do get a call.So I have spent the morning searching for another job because I don't think this one is going to work for me.Def

We are out in Kanata close to the hockey rink.
Hey, you gave it a try buddy. You've had to retest yourself to find out where your new boundaries are. Now you know and you can move forwards. I'm going through the same "calibration" myself. I don't yet know what's safe and sustainable for me and what's not. You're ahead of me with that one. I know that might not be what you want to hear right at this moment mate, but it's all part of the journey when you're accommodating change. It might even take a couple more tries before you find that perfect fit.
While we're at it, who's gonna post the Victorinox how it's made episode?Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G388F met Tapatalk
Unfortunately there is also a lot of mail sorting in the position, and that involves a lot of standing, reaching, leaning and stepping back and forth as I sort mail into large frames, and that is a lot more painful that I want to admit. This is what the frames look like:(Image removed from quote.)I try to pre-sort it so that there is as little movement as possible, but that takes even more time and I won't know what route(s) I'm doing from day to day, so I really won't know any route well enough for extra sorting to be effective.Still, it is a positive step, and I am looking forward to contributing to society again. Luckily I have had enough irons in the fire over the past six months that we haven't really suffered significantly (no lost credit cards, no unpaid bills etc) but we have missed out on a few opportunities, and I am looking forward to putting some money in the bank that doesn't immediately fly right back out.
