Greetings from Norway
on: October 30, 2016, 11:12:14 PM
Hi everybody,
I stumbled across this board when searching for some information about SAKs. Seems to be a lot of good stuff to read here, so I figured I might just as well join the fun (or madness :D ) The Swiss Army stuff is my primary interest when it comes to multitools, but a few other Tools have made their way into the collection as well.

There's no doubt in my mind- if you have that many SAKs you most certainly belong here!  :D

Welcome to the forum, from the only place in the world colder than Norway!  :D

Thanks everybody!

Regarding the number of SAKs; it's not a goal in itself to have as many as possible, it's more about finding the "perfect one". Now, such a thing as the perfect tool does obvioulsy not exist, so the "perfect one" rapidly turns into "the perfect ones". Hence the quest goes on and the collection expands ???

Welcome

A friendly advice; better start looking for the perfect tool combo(s)... and get a Vic Spirit too.

Those two steps will probably save you some money and sleep hours :D

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

How many SAKs does one person need?

One more......  :ahhh

And a Spirit.  Definitely need a Spirit!  If there was such thing as an absolutely perfect multitool, the Spirit would be it.

Raner...? Would that be a Ranger?  Or have I missed something (again!)... No Ranger in my posession, but I've got a Huntsman that's treating me just fine  :D The same can be said for all the other SAKs as well I might add.

Whoops, missed a letter. And that big 130mm SAK is in fact a Ranger(grip), and was the intended subject of my question.

So how do you like it? :pok:

Ranger grip - of course!  Was thinking about it as a Wenger,  but that's obviously history,  with Vic style can opener and everything.  Anyway,  it's a great knife!  Too big for pocket carry,  but the grip is excellent. Much more of a "real knife" that the smaller SAKs,  and good for hiking and such.  The extra lenght makes the saw a lot more usefull as well. A knife for the woods!  :tu:
