two for the price of one

I attended our local "flea" market yesterday and found this:

and this:

Interestingly they came as one tool:

It's a combination 6 and 8 inch Crescent wrench.  Should be handy.

John.

Maybe one end is metric and the other is Imperial?  :D

Great find!

Crescent/Crestoloy  and Diamond Caulk made these up until the '60's. All are imperial sized.   The wrenches come in 4 sizes, 4/6 inch, 6/8 inch, 8/10 inch and 10/12 inch.  They are considered a novelty now.  They are very collectable. Good to great examples are easily sold for top dollar.   There are other double ended adjustable wrench examples, but not in this style/configuration.

Yadda - thanks for the information.  It is quite useful as I often grab an adjustable wrench that is a bit small.

David - Couldn't pass it up.

Def - it definitely says 6 -8 in.  That would make it 15.24 - 20.32 - pretty confusing particularly for the non metric group :D

Sparky - not heavy enough for a hammer - my wife's rolling pin is much handier.

John.
