I've posted this picture before. It is the largest remnant of a Stanley Automatic Multitool, which literally disintegrated in my hand the first time I tried to use it. What a hunk of junk.

I suppose we will never know, but......I wonder if that jaw broke from normal plier-ing activities, or if it was due to sideways prying, or some other non-recommended use?

The broken Leatherman Charge, Juice, and Squirt look new otherwise so it doesn't look like they have seen much action.
........At least the multi tool manufacturers do not put new stuff on the market so their customers will find the faults like some of the software companies do.
