Here's what you posted back in June this year ...

:ahhh :ahhh :ahhh Wow that is so cool that you got to meet the Man himself :o That is great that you got to tell him all that stuff and actually got to have a conversation with him about MTs 8) It was cool that he signed all those tools and your kids got to meet him and have their tools signed as well

These stories are all cool  I wonder if he ever tours the US like this  If he does I really would have to go and meet him :ahhh

Great story. Meeting Tim is on the top of my list.

Wished he would tour to USA like this

This thread never gets old. Is there a Tim Leatherman meet and greet location schedule somewhere?

I think we need to find it if there is one :tu: Also if it doesn't include US and Canada we need to start emailing I think :D

And here we are, November of the same year, and all of your wishes have come true ...  :sa:

Could you fill in a lottery ticket for me please ?  :pok: :pok: :pok:

Congrats on meeting The Creator himself my friend .

And yes, Tim is a very nice guy.  When I was about to meet him I was quite nervous, but after 10 seconds it felt like I was talking to one of the guys here on MTO, just two men who like multitools (and one of them just happens to be the inventor of the Leatherman multitool and CEO of the Leatherman Tool Group ... ).  He took his time to talk about what our favourite tools were, and he didn't mind engraving all the tools I had with me that day (if only I'd known ... ::)).

Let's hope for Tim that Chako never brings his collection to an engraving session, or he might go home with carpal tunnel syndrome ...

Once again, thanks for sharing this awesome experience with us, and thanks for the beautiful pics  :tu:

I'm very happy for you my friend  :salute:.

Top-Gear buddy it was your post that first got me so interested in meeting him  I had always wanted to but didn't think the chance would ever come about :D It was an awesome experince and echoed your meeting :tu: After you met him we had a few more members that got to meet him and shared their experiences and each one made me want to meet him more :ahhh Then I went to the SMKW and saw the LM rep and when he told me about Tim going to be there I was all :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :D I wrote the date down and made sure I didn't have anything planned for that day and when it got here I was a bit nervous as well but the more I got to talk to him the better it got :like: It is something I wish all our members could experience and was more than happy to share it with everyone as you did :tu:  It makes it a bit more real everytime one of us does meet him :tu:

I wonder if he would sign a SAK, or a Gerber, or a SOG etc.    That would make a seriously unusual and collectible tool :)

I had a SAK with me and almost asked :D   Thought I was pushing it enough with all the tools I had though or else I would have :D

hahaha I also thought that     when I met him as I had a Swisstool in my bag, but thought that'd be really uneducated.
I was also angry at myself that I only carried on me  two Leathermans at that time, so I could only get those signed.

And the blade of the Wave as well, BTW I see that his signature remains the exact same during the years.  Delivering consistency for years...Just like his tools!  :multi:
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

If Tim's signature would follow the same "consistency" as the Leatherman Tools it would have read "Leatherman" in clear, easy to read letters back in the early '90s, while it would look like the printing of a seismograph by now ...

Hey ... wait a minute ...

Anyone here who has a Leatherman that was engraved by Tim back in the '90s ...  :pok:

When real multitools finally came into my (financially possible) reach, I went for a Swisstool Spirit and stayed there,
but always respected Tim Leatherman's work as well. Great man!

Grant may have one of the oldest tools signed by him of those here but Bob and Allan have signed tools as well :tu: I am sure there are pics if that but it is from around 8 years ago :ahhh :D
