I would recommend taking tools out of the cardboard boxes, and keep them boxes elsewhere. Cardboard retains moisture, not exactly friendly with metal stuffs.

Thanks for the advice. It wasn't something that I had considered. I have plenty of these boxes so I will keep the Leatherman boxes in a couple of separate boxes.

As i dance around the single figure/double figure mark with my collection and they are all users i tend to select them on a daily basis so i use a simple valet tray to store my EDC I don't have many torches or pens as i have selected what works for me and what does not and kept and discarded accordingly. I keep meaning to with the Leatherman. I was harsh not long back and realised that any smaller than Juice is not for me and neither is anything larger than a Blast. So thats the area i tend to inhabit. Anyway, storage/accessibility my way!

I can see that advantage of plastic storage for larger collections which need to be preserved but my is comparatively tiny and i like wood so they live in my wooden valet tray protecting my vinyl!
