bit adapter
on: December 13, 2016, 04:01:59 PM
I recently got the removeable bit adapter for my Rebar, and find it difficult to remove the bits by hand.  I wind up using the pliers to remove them.  Is this normal?  If so, is it the same with the bit extender accessory?  thanks.

I know that I've had trouble getting regular 1/4" hex bits out of the bit extender.
If my text is in blue, read it with sarcasm.  That is how it's meant!

It is normal. Use it regularly and it will be fine very soon. Same to the bit extender when new. :multi:

Going to pick one up myself this friday, second hand.

The dude sells it together with his modified rebar for the retail price of just the bit adapter...

So the rebar is just a nice extra.

It's writen somewhere that it fits on the inline philips on SAK'S and on the full size swisstool.
Can anyone confirm?

I tried it and it does fit but can't remember if you have to put it on at an angle instead of straight over the Phillips  It does work though

Yep it works on sak's, it's not a perfect fit though, but very useable.

I really like the bit adaptor and bit extender.  They can be a standalone screw drivers and works pretty well. They can also be combined to provide super long reach.

You can also put the vic mini screwdriver (that stows on the corkscrew normally) in them as well to make them easier to use. Can't remember who first said it on here, but it's useful to know.

Here it is fitted in my adapter
