Up close look at the bond of the whole building :)

Looks like Flemish bond, I had that on the house I had built a few years ago.

One question, don't your bricks have frogs?

It is Flemish  bond :salute: these brick had holes so no frog up or down question :D

You do brick work and Flemish frogs?

Def

I'm not going there, there would be too many smurfs in the answer. However frogs legs are tasty

I think you need to go back and finish that one, poncho. :pok:

Was wondering if anyone would notice that :D

That is a hole we left out to attach our hydraulic scaffolding to the concrete structure of the building as we went up :tu: We usually patch them in as we come down with our washing but someone was in a hurry and we had to get out of the way

We got a ladder and finished it later :D

My new boss, during my tour of the factory before I accepted their offer, told me proudly, "All US battleships built after 1935 were painted with product from this factory.".

I responded, "The North Carolina, South Dakota, and Iowa's were all beautiful ships."

He spun around a bit shocked. I started that Tuesday. :D I'll get some pics next week, but industrial paint plants are smaller than, say, Sherwin Williams or Behr.........

Holy cow Poncho- it looks like a significant sized add on!

Plus all that brick work must have seriously increased your value!

Had the idea of how I wanted it (the room) and it even kept me up at night and until I had it built it was always in the back of my mind to build it :ahhh

It is where we spend most of our time and even where my computer is that I use when I am on here at home  :tu:

I already had the brick (extra from when we built the house) and I wanted to do something with them that would benefit all of us and the backroom idea was what I came up with :like:

It tool me a good long while from start to finish to complete the project but we paid for it as we went along and it was paid for by the time we finished it :dd: :tu:

You can see the sliding door in a pic or two, that leads to our kitchen and I tire that out and now it just leads to our room

I built the walls by myself yes, the roof and floor was left to carpenters and roofers :tu: I can put shingles on as well but I was trying to get the thing in the dry as we had to cut the roof of the original house and I wanted to get everything tied by before it rained :D I did have help for half a day from a couple guys I work with on the brick after the roof was on they helped me brick the outside gable :like: I also had a friend who is an electrician wire it and put all the lights up  I put a wood ceiling in it and me and my wife put the flooring down (as I also know how to put hardwood down ;) ) :tu: I also did all the trim work in it, many of the finish work in the whole house was done by me with some help from my wife, dad and her dad

The original house I learned how to do many different things but the backroom was more a labor of love type thing :D I am sitting in it right now as I type as a matter of fact

This is the resin mixing room at my company, where we produce commercial and industrial epoxies and coatings. The large plastic tub in the left foreground is on a production table, and holds about 1,000lb of epoxy catalyst. In the left background is a tank on a mixing machine. To give you an idea of how large that tank is, that particular mixer is 12' high......

Looks like a lot of the stuff we used when I was working building the resin moulds for windmill blades.

Is that a bricklayer's pun?

I have never seen new brickwork on such a scale as on some of your other pics. Here brick is usually a veneer tied to timber framing with a 40-50mm cavity between. Too earthquakey otherwise.
