Victorinox rangergrip a steal on amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KNO2B00/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1481908423&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=victorinox+rangergrip&dpPl=1&dpID=41JeEiOyS8L&ref=plSrch

I have been following this for a couple months,  it was low as 33$, but then recently shot up to 48$. At 22$ you can't go wrong.

I really couldn't resist.... ended up ordering 2 (plus a Wounded Warrior Project Fieldmaster)... they don't ship to Europe but luckliy I know some lovely Californians who can look after these for me...

Thanks for the headsup leathermon!

My pleasure, I was mad when they jumped in price,  I guess everything happens for a reason.

Not to steal your thread but Amazon also has the Hunter Pro for only $29. Cheapest I see else where is $59. Thanks for the link I jumped on the ranger grip, still might pull the trigger on the pro.

Had to jump thru hoop though. That was the only thing worth buying at time so, I will have to wait for them to ship to a local Walmart store for free, as I did not want to pay $5+ shipping. Thank you for your pointer.  :salute:

Amazon's no longer taking orders at that price...
Which is not surprising. How the hell can they sell this thing for the price of a Tinker?!

I put an order when it was out of stock at the sale price of $22.56. Item now shows as being on the way Dec. 28. Not in love with that color green but for the price, I'll live with it.

That is an awesome price!   :ahhh

If anyone accidentally orders too many, let me know and I'd be happy to take one or two off your hands!  :D

Gotta love Amazon, I just received this earlier than expected. The box was a bit beat up though.  :twak:

Do Victorinox boxes not include the molded tray inside the box anymore? The box didn't have a molded tray although it did appear factory sealed. Still not in love with the color but the knife is awesome. I love the big saw, I will get plenty use out of that. The serrations are sharp and make up most of the knife. The plain edge was actually not that sharp which is rare in my experience with Victorinox which are usually pretty sharp out the box. I like this so much I will get a plain edge version in a color I like which I guess means red or yellow.

I've been looking into this form factor and a good version for me would be something like the Wenger RangerGrip 86 - East Ranger, which is not made anymore and I think was never officially available in the United States.

Mine is the same as yours, box and all.  The backside awl is so stiff I can not pull it out without using another tool to pry it up.  Not sure how I feel about it overall, the saw is awesome and IMO the highlight of this SAK.

The awl on my model is no stiffer than the 91mm or 111mm models that I own. But I noticed awls tend to be stiffer than other back tools. Also thanks to Leathermon for posting this deal!
