The Cool Wall?

I wonder if I havnt put this idea forward before,but,isn't it time MTo had a Cool Wall?

For those who havnt seen Clarkson's Top Gear,the Cool Wall isn't about how good a car is,but how people react to it(the old test being how Kristen Scott-Thomas would react to the car you show up in to take here on a date). The other guides were: 1) If you have to explain why it's cool,it just isn't;and 2) If Jezza buys one,no matter how cool it is,it becomes uncool.

The categories are Super Cool,Cool,Uncool and Seriously Uncool(I think we can bypass the DB9 fridge. I really can't think of a knife or tool as cool as a DB9)

So....

Who amongst us takes on Jezzas mantel? (I nominate 50ft-trad

)

Well I disagree with your supercool Swiss knife choices straight away

Instead, I'll nominate Alox Rambler, Brushed Stainless Wenger Traveller, Evowood 14, and smooth scaled Voyageur. For pliers tools, I'll say Sideclip, MP700 and Spirit X

Spirit RT belongs in the DB9 glovebox

I think it would most likely be populating the seriously uncool category where I'd get into the most trouble with folks here.

I believe the uncool selection wasn't just for Jezza, it was for all three of them. If any of them bought it then it was uncool.

But other than that, great idea and I'll be sure to give it some thought.

For me, the Topeak Ratchet Rocket turned out to be an unexpectedly welcome permanent addition to my EDC toolset.

I'm sure that Kristin Scott Thomas a) wouldn't be impressed by any car, b) wouldn't go on a date with any of us and c) wouldn't think that mutlitools are cool. They're just not. We may think so, but to the wider public, no.

As confused as I am with what's going on in this thread (natural aversion to jeremy effing clarkson) I reckon KST would be honored to go on a date with me. I would pick her up in my Vauxhall Agila and we would walk the dog, ending up at the fish and chip shop where I would treat her to whatever she wanted off the menu.

I receive a considerable amount of interest every time I post on the mugshot thread so I have no doubt that if KST knew of my existence she would want some of that sweeeeet magentus pie.

Am I doing this right? The Spartan isn't yet in a shadowbox, and neither 58mm display is on my wall, but they are meant to be hung. (And if anyone is interested in the 58mm displays, they are available for sale, but I will not ship them. I'm wary of the tools closing. :/)
