Frontier-ish knife
on: February 10, 2017, 02:01:32 AM
I made this a while ago and was my first knife I ever made . Blade steel originated from a file and the ferrule is stainless pipe I believe. The wood used for the handle is unknown as I found it while out walking.

I might discolour the flats so that the edge is more prominent..

Nice.  Its certainly looks like a knife that can do some good work.  Time to make a sheath for it, or do you already have one made?

It does have a 90 degree spine..well give or take a few degrees due to spastic grinding  :)

I'm unsure of what sheath to make and doubt my competence to make one but ...any suggestions?

I think a simple rustic sheath would look great.  I got a pretty good sheath from sharpshooter.  Its easily wet moldable and looks pretty good.  I got it from Amzon for about $22.
