Well... It's been awhile since I've posted any pics of my PT 540/Surge that hack I was calling my Power Surge PT 540. I had to take a break on the project and was a a loss on what to do. But Zoidberg's Super Tool BDS hack gave me a renewed interest! After drooling over the pictures, I decided that I might could carry a Super Tool if it had Surge Scissors and a bit driver. So with a new platform to build on, I set out to give it another try. I'm anxious to see what the MTO community thinks! I got the PT 540 head to fit into the Super Tool frame, now I want to add the Scissors, bit driver, and file/saw blade exchanger. Guess I need a new name too... :whistle:

Thanks SteveC,  I'll admit I had to have the stainless welding done by a professional and then do some file work. Think it turned out nicely though. Wish I could have some 3D printed like Metro's shears so they would fit into a Surge too! But I guess that is a project for another day...

It's not one hand opening yet, but I hope it loosens up. I also am trying to decide if I want to add the wire stripper lock that the original PT 540 has.
