Is there a blade sharpening service from any of our members by any chance?

Hi guys!

Looking for a quick turn around blade sharpening service in this forum (US only) - Otherwise I have to wait 3 weeks or more to get it done by Leatherman.

Thanks!

Get yourself a Lansky turnbox. Idiot proof and does a great job unless the blade is completely shot. It's all I use 98% of the time.

I agree. Sharpening is easy and there are a lot of products on the market to make it easier.  Do it for yourself and never be without your tool again.

I use a spyderco sharpmaker with all the stones from diamond to very fine ceramic. I get excellent results and like the lansky turnbox it's easy to use.

Thanks for the info!...I will give the Lansky a try to see how it does on the S30V since I also have a couple of pocket knives with these blades.

Let us know how it works out. It worked great for touching up the 154CM blade on my Skeletool CX   :tu: :tu:

That's the main reason why I was asking if somebody can do it since the S30V blades takes longer to get them sharp. I might as well send my Blur and ZT 0350  to Kershaw, it will take 3 weeks to get them back but they will do it for free, they don't charge like Leatherman

  • Geometry cuts but the steel determines how long.
The Diamond/Ceramic 4 Rod Turn Box, would be a good option.
The thing about S30V and other newer steels is if you have to re-profile the blade it can be a bit slow. So the first sharpening can be slow.
Once you get the 20 degrees set sharpening is as easy as any steel. The secret is not to let it get real dull.
