Thats a thread to share fotos of swiss army knives with year stamps on the scales or on the tools to help date the different tools, tang stamps, scale crosses, materials etc. Everythings allowed. Important are different fotos of the knives, front, back, close up from the stamps, descriptions of specials.

Thanks for that! I'm not sure if the Executive 74mm can relate to that, but if it can, it's probably from the 90s (as it has the rostfrei stamp and screw on the scissors)  :tu:  :ahhh

Here are the pics. I still am not sure when it's from, as I found very little info on 74mm stamps and stuff.  ???

Sorry for late answer :) So, due to the groove on the scissors, it can be from 1990-1991. Approximately.

So with some collectors together we put together some dated officer knives. Hopefully others will follow.

Excellent! Thank you elsinox and ulli for fulfilling my request!

Best part are there are zero big surprises for me, and that the dates that I have pushed ‘known’ dates...have been in the correct directions!

I will have to add pictures of the 1963 CAS with the triangular/conical awl.

Great selection of knives with a date, many thanks Elsinox!
Indeed, if they had old parts then they were used.  I especially liked the visible rivets in 1961, the VOSC stamp in 1977 and the ESSR/blank stamp in 1977.

Can’t find my copy. Did find an auction pic that jnoxyd re-posted.

Still interesting that knives for this club are found in both style awl for the same year. Unfortunately, it doesn’t define the year as transition vs. overlap.

Finally found my copy.  ::) And while looking for other stuff

Anyway, it still does make me wonder why and how this club has two styles of awl for the same year. Maybe they placed two orders or more that year? Conical awl supply ran out producing their order? Or maybe even both styles chosen for the same order?

.
