Hmm...well, I have a LM Supertool that I bought back in the mid (or late) and 1990's. It was my EDC for a long time and has the wear and tear to prove it. I can't prove it with a pic because I had engraved my name with the phrase "Stolen from [my name]" on it and I don't want to post my full name online.
The only proof I have is the well worn case.

Maybe if I get some photo editing app, I'll blur the name or something.

Yeah, both sides are engraved.

This was my EDC for several years and saw heavy use. I did things and attempted things with this that were beyond the tool. It's has the scratches and dents to prove it. Back in the day, my friends and I used to be into off-roading with our trucks and SUVs. This Leatherman attempted numerous "emergency" automotive repairs that were beyond its capabilities. The tool never failed me and fixed things good enough to get us out of there (the backwoods of Alaska). One of my buddies broke the tip off his non-serrated blade doing something. That was the worst damage we inflicted on the LM. I put a nasty dent in my wire cutters while trying to cut something really stout like a chain link fence (I can't remember specifically what I was cutting). Overall, we loved our LMs and we all had one. Eventually, the circle was broke when my buddy, Erik, committed adultery by "upgrading" to a Gerber. After I sold one SUV and my pickup fell apart, we eventually stopped going out as much (there had been 5 of us in the group). Life changed and I packed the LM in the closet and began carrying a Victorinox SAK because the LM was just too heavy for EDC and it was extreme overkill for what I needed on a daily basis. LM will always hold a special place in my memories, though.

Back to the roots!

Just got this used PST shipped from MTo (thanks Def :hatsoff:) to replace the one that I had sent to LM with a snapped-off blade point only to have it replaced by a new Wave. I hadn't crossed the 'emotional' box and wasn't unhappy with the Wave but (like many other fellow forum members) I soon discovered that the simple elegance of the original had grown on me after all. Also, I had ended up with an unemployed sheath and universal bit holder (with sheath) that I was starting to imagine were getting lonely.

(Smurf... this forum does funny things with my mind, it does :D :D).

So here's my application for Ye Olde Club, to wit a used 0302 where only the small driver needs some regrinding to repair the ever so slight overtorque twist damage...
