How you carry your EDC when you wear slacks?

If you wear slacks (normally for work or occasionally for a wedding, a formal dressing event) and so...

For me, the key is to downsize it.
I can't carry a full size MT

I refer how to carry ON YOU.
I do not refer to carry a backpack or your 12 wheels truck :D

I just carry a Swisschamp, or LM Sidekick in my pocket, they are both minimal in comparison to my usual carries. I keep a surge, bit adapter, etc in the car should I need it so it's not far away.

Being lucky enough to wear cargo's or walking trews to work, this doesn't often arise, but when I HAVE to wear smart trews I'll downsize my SAK to a SI, but still keep my bladeless MP400 on a belt pouch. I'll pop my work phone in my wife's handbag if poss because I hate it.  :D

I usually only carry a micra in this situation with a mini light attached  :tu:

Micra or single blade folder and now the Fenix UC02SS on the keys. Keys also have a Doohickey on them.

If I absolutely can't carry a belt sheath or my usual MT + SAK combo on a holster, or my usual carry (cargo pants), I will carry both of my keychains



Work keychain (clipped to green wallet) in one pocket

- Prybar
- Whistle
- Utilikey
- Box-cutter/Utility blade

House keychain (in the left side) in the other pocket

- Minichamp
- CR123 Light
- Utilikey
- EDC Gear Octopus tool (5 Allen sizes)

My office carry is usually a small MT or blade.

ie

LM Micra

Gerber STL folder
JRP Toucan
Boker Keycom

On the keychain is NiteCore Tube light.

Some days I will carry a bigger MT in the office but it is mostly for fidgeting and to change it up.


But I also carry a laptop bag to work which is loaded.

I choose a smaller EDC and keep it in the front right pocket with el handkercheif.  :cheers:

I think the main point raised on this thread is Hammer Space - where can we get some? I offer a prize of my lovely modded Woodsman 'Greenwood' for the forum member who invents and shares Hammer Space with the rest of us.

Nate and I are used to storing certain objects in chaos warp dimensions, but more often than not they get nicked by some lowly demon or we forget where we put them. A practicle solution would be gratefully received.

More or less the same way that I carry things every other day. I just move the pen to a shirt pocket, leave the tactical knife at home in favor of a traditional knife or a nice thin Douk Douk, and if I have a full size multi-tool it's a SOG pocket power plier in my right back pocket.

It's when in a suit or tuxedo that things get interesting.

I'm beginning to suspect you are a trickster god RoSchro - I imagine I will send you my stuff and it will strangely 'disappear' never to be seen by me again, just like when I gave my old cross red Farmer to Loki for safe keeping and my 1891 Officer to anansi. Never saw them again  :facepalm:

I've downsized my carry considerably over the years, and until not too long from now, I have been wearing slacks five-plus days a week.  The breakdown for my pants is as follows:

front left pocket - cell phone
front right pocket - Big Skinny Card Case wallet, SAK of the day, and occasionally, gum
rear left pocket - handerchief, Gerber EAB (when not on lab coat)
rear right pocket - keys suspended from Victorinox belt hanger

My dress shirt breast pocket holds a Fisher Pen, glasses cleaning cloth, and a notepad; sadly, I am going to be switching to scrubs soon, where I won't even have a place to put my phone or keys, or much of anything else, so we shall see how things go. :/

Normal day: a Rebar, PocketWrench, Compact and folder and/or CRKT Minimalist, with comfy shoes

Dressy day: Skeletool, Dohickey, Rambler, with pinchy shoes. :(
