Three things:One, I don't know if plus scales even existed in the 80s. Two, I don't know if the Yeoman was only sold with plus scales, assuming plus scales existed at the time. Three, assuming that plus scales existed in the 80s, AND the Yeoman was sold with plus scales only, it's possible for someone to remove the plus scales and put on non-plus scales.So. Hopefully someone who knows more than me will answer your question soon.
I highly doubt they were sold in the 80's. Seems like they were only made for a few years in the mid to late 90's.Technically possible but I've never seen one. Seems like if they were made for that long they would be so uncommon.

It's been said the Scientist was produced between 1986-1999 (quantities unknown, though available boxed & in blister packaging), but is actually harder to find in the used market than the Yeoman.
