CRKT Pilar; $25 well spent!
on: July 23, 2017, 05:12:15 AM
So my latest pickup is a little knife I finally got around to picking up at Cabelas just the other day. And so far I am really enjoying it!  8)

This knife got allot of buzz at shot show this year and has had it's fair share of press and video reviews which are all positive and stellar. And I concur...  :salute:

I won't really go into too much detail as there are others that have already done great jobs doing so. But I will say that crkt hit a homerun with this one. This is a great, smaller, really well designed knife by Voxnaes. It has great action, awesome and really stout sheepsfoot blade shape. Ergos are great! First knife I've had with this type of forward finger choil, giving a really nice purchase on a still smaller handle size.

Anyways. If you've been wanting a new toy and got $25, yes only $25!!. Go get one! This is my first crkt and I'm really satisfied with this knife!!

How well does it slice?

Thanks dude!

Slices good. Factory sharp and the blade shape more than anything is just really effective. The stock is indeed thick,, probably thicker than it technical needed to be, but i like stout tank type knifes. So it's right up my alley.

Also the steel is 8crmov13 so it's inexpensive and will probably need touching up. But this will be a great edc beater for me. I've been handling it for a few days and can stop, it's just fun to flick and hold.

That is nice.    When I first saw it on display, It reminded me of the SQUID model, but your blade appears much better.
I have a similar sized Kershaw Ember, I like, BUT your's is way much prettier.

Everything about this knife seems to be done right. (Unless your a lefty  ;) )

The blade shape is great for cutting tasks. And it's just sooo much fun to handle, use and play with. Really a great design and function for a really in expensive pocket knife!

More pics to come!!  :salute:
