Great topic, and thanks for the pics of each step of the process Zed .
Ok blade isn't perfectly lined up closed but it closes ok and no blade play so I'm done with that, before I smooth everything down and get it all flush and polished I decided to start on the blade ,of course by hand,I'm filing the grind on it and it's actually very satisfying to do,I'll Finnish it off on my stones that will do for today
As regards the blade play and locking up, were you able to measure the thicknesses of the spring and blade tang? It might have been that the spring was a little too wide.Aside from that, great job Paul :tu:Good to hear you had fun doing it and learned something from it too. Would you have any tips for anyone else having a go at one of these?
That looks good Paul, so she's all finished?
That's one good looking knife .Great job mate .
Well done Paul, looks great! My one thought while watching this thread unfold is how difficult folders are, even kits.I want to try someday, but I'm not good with tight tolerances
Nice work Paul
