Tools for your Multitools Collection!!
on: October 24, 2008, 02:33:57 PM
When I received my screw driver set for the LM 5 point fastners I got thinking  I now have a secondary tool collection for my MTs  :o :D :D.Other recent purchases include upgrading my $2 plastic vernier caliper to a $15 electric caliper(still plastic though ::) :D).I also have 2 Torx bit sets , customized knurled sockets , blunt needle syringe(for lubing/cleaning),thread locker , Inox lube & bits of wire (invaluable when putting LM's back together).

who needs a tool box?! now try carrying that on your next adventure! :P

but seriously, it is nice with "extra's" and more for your main tools, especially
when you can "multi-adopt" to other things, thx for sharing :salute:
judge others by how they treat those they are allowed to mistreat

Not so much maintenance Micky , but it is fun to pull apart & customize. Some MT's you can not easily do this with  :pok: :pok: you know the ones  :D :D

I have one of those sets, and the #8 Torx bit (you know, the one we all bought that set for) fell apart on first use, removing a pocket clip from a LM knife :(

I should have returned it, but never got round to it.

I use these things I got from ebay now - ideal for the job:

I used to come here a lot.

Many of the old discontinued multitools that I buy are covered with gunk and grime. Whenever possible I like to completely disassemble them for a full clean-up. Probably the "special tool" that I use the most often is a simple toothbrush. :)

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools
