Nice review thx for the read. How does one go about submitting articles to sasak (not that I have one), and from what I remember this model wasn't imported to US, are they still available?

Found an EBay retailer http://cgi.ebay.com/Swiss-Army-knife-Wenger-Mini-Grip-w-pliers-pouch-more_W0QQitemZ110297332160QQihZ001QQcategoryZ42577QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 this guy has over 70 in stock o.O. At $35 a piece sounds like a good deal.

nice review u made there mate

i have one with needle nose and one with flat nose, and i dig both a lot, although they arent as robust, when used as pliers, but the size makes those nice to carry around just about anywhere.i changed the bit-set up on mine,to make it go with my bicycle tool kit,so it has t25 and 2.5-4-5-6mm hex bits now, with  #2 phillips as well.with that combination i can do just about any common on-road adjust/repair on mountain bike, from adjusting disc brakes/handles to remove brake calibers etc.the only thing i cant and i wish i could, with just that one tool,is to tighten cranks, that are bolted down with 8mm hex bolts, but as the minigrip is rather small,it wouldnt even be realistic to think about tighten cranks with 8m hex attached to it,as the lever would be short and wouldnt give enough torque to crankbolts.so,if i settle to carry spoke wrench, tire levers and patches, along with minigrip and one 6" long 8mm hex key,its very decent kit.

i really dont regret gettin minigrip to my self.and i am pretty sure u wont either. :salute:

Good review Micky d !

For those of you lurking and standing on the sidelines jump in and write a review, the more people that get involved the more information we'll all have.

To make things easier here is a basic guide I found on the WWW to help you in what to look at when reviewing and then the process of putting your thought down on paper.

A lot of good basics are presented, # 1 in my book  is........  Simple, straight-forward reports that are complete are highly regarded ( KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid - key word SIMPLE ).
Just think of how many reviews you searched out prior to making the final decision to purchase something. Now you can return the favor, and it's fun to do, and not hard at all.
HINT = don't write the review in one sitting, put down some initial thoughts and go do something else, come back and review what you have written and add to it, it's a lot easier to focus on small passages than sitting down and doing a review in one sitting, and it's boring and makes the review a dreaded project rather than something you want to do.

Writing a product review guide  ( you will notice it's quite long and there are examples).

I am currently writing  "short" review  guidelines for MT forums to help those who may be lurking and want to write a product review.

Hope you find this interesting.

To submit a review for Multitool.org or SOSAKOnline is pretty simple- just email photos and text to me at any one of a hundred email addresses...  but the easiest is probably admin@multitool.org.

As for the writing, well folks often seem intimidated about the idea of writing a review.  The most common fear is that a person doesn't have enough experience with various tools to write an accurate review.  All you really need is a tool and a few comments on them.  If you use a tool, and find something you like or don't like about it, chances are, other people will like or dislike the same things, and they might be interested in learning that before they drop the better part of $100 on a tool that they may not be comfortable with.

For example, when I first bought the Surge, I assumed it was around the same size as a Wave.  Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found it weighed around forty tonnes and was the size of a mid size American sedan.  Ok, that's an exaggeration, but it sure seemed that way at first.  At the time, we had no review of the Surge, and while the info was available on the LM website, they were just numbers.  I would have bought it anyways, as a collector and because we needed one to review, but if I'd been looking for a lightweight user, I'd have probably gone elsewhere.

There are lots of tools yet to be reviewed...  We are missing several Charge models, most of the New Ranger series from Wenger, two different full sized SwissTools and two Spirit models, several models from Bear, numerous Gerber models.....

Trust me, there's lots out there!

Any reviews are appreciated  :).  Tools that have not been reviewed before are a bonus, but I also like to read different reviews from different people as people often feel differently about certain aspects.

Nothing wrong with that.  If we all thought the same this would be one boring forum.  :)

We all have different views , opinions, experiences and uses for our tools in our daily lives. I want to hear what others have to say about things I both find useful and useless. Since we all share something in common (being a part of this particular forum etc...) this would be the best place to post.

Reviews are personal things- some folks like certain things about different tools, others don't like those same things, and yet others can be completely indifferent on those same points.

So, yeah, even if a tool has been reviewed, feel free to do it, as it's nice to see different opinions!
