These are Randall Model 8's, Trout and Bird.I've been fortunate to be able to own two of these knives. One is crafted with 01 tool steel and the other is stainless steel.

With its 4" blade it's the perfect size for handling almost any game dressing or fish processing chore.

That Model 25 is a beauty. I remember when Randall came out with the Model 25 & 26. I wanted one badly back then but they were harder than normal to get and more pricey since demand was so high. I'm familiar with most standard Randall knives. I've owned models 1-7, 3-5 and an 8 all with. O1 steel. I ordered My Model 1-7 in 1979 and took delivery 12 months later in 1980. can you imagine only a 1 year wait today. I think the last I heard was 5 years. The Model3-5 was a two year wait in the mid 90's. The Model 8 I bought used from a knife deal from Missouri I meet at a gun show. Course one can pay a premium to the dealer to do your waiting for you. which is proably the route I'd go if i was to get another Randall.    :)

Thanks David. You don't have to pay a premium. There are many Randall dealers who sell at shop price.

This is the little brother to the Model 25 Trapper and it's the Model 26 Pathfinder. With this Model 25 handle configuration,it's listed as a non-catalog knife. The handle consists of a single brass hilt with brass/black/leather spacers, stag handle with brass/black/leather spacers and brass butt cap. This example also has a stainless steel blade.

Standard Features:

BLADE LENGTH: 4"
BLADE STOCK: 3/16"
HANDLE SHAPE: Standard
HANDLE MATERIAL: Stag, Leather
HILT STYLE: Standard Single
WEIGHT: 6 oz.

The Pathfinder is a sweet knife. I really like the combination of stag and leather for the handle.

@maba  in your last pic I like the 2nd and 3rd knife.  Also is that an optical illusion with the grind of the first knife pic?  Interesting grind for a mora yeah?

Thought i would do a little cleaning and sharpening today

This scout knife handle is a little loose, needs a special screwdriver to tighten it (rather than struggle needle nose pliers  ::) )

I have a few of these cheap 4way screwdrivers

After a trip to the grinder

This isn't anything special like some of the knives posted here, but it gets the job done! I just got it and I'm really loving the thing!

That sunnie was a solid 9.5" and thick! The mora made quick work of him and a few of his friends
