This is a skinning knife made by David Boye using his unique method of casting the knife and then plunging it into liquid nitrogen at -300 degrees.

David wrote a book about making knives titled "Step-by-Step Knifemaking: You Can Do It!" This book details the conventional method of making knives.

David also created a Boat knife that is made from a mixture of cobalt, chrome, nickel, tungsten, silicon, iron, and carbon.Notice that this knife contains no steel and even though it contains iron it is completely rust resistant.

That dried pecan limb was hard as hell to cut chips on! If I remember correctly, Pecan is only slightly less tough than Hickory.   :ahhh

I just realized I do not own one fixed blade knife.

Thinking.....

Nope not one.

Going to have to sort that out soon.

After thinking on it a minute I remembered a AK 47 bayonet in the back of that safe. Got it in Panama, only dropped once.
