It was only a few weeks ago that I realized it was more than just a splash of color behind that fairy. The art is great. Kind of old fashioned, like art in some of the storybooks that were already old when I was little.

The book I mention is a tale about a little girl who wants to see fairies, and finds out that if you sit still in the forest, looking very intently into a book, the curious fairies will come sit on the book to see what you're reading. Then the little girl proceeds to 'collect' various fairies like pressed flowers. Morbid, hilarious, and just insanely beautiful watercolor artwork.

My online pseudonym comes from trying to create an e-mail account. 'Lynn', 'Lynn1' etc, all being taken, and the last name 'LeFey' from Morgan LeFey (also LeFay, le Faye, etc.) of Arthurian legend popped into my head. 'LeFey' means 'the fairy' and hence the fairy imagery, but since I have a sick sense of humor...

Hi Thundah

Nope, the species is actually Smallmouth Yellowfish, one of several types of Yellowfish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smallmouth_yellowfish

My trout reference is because the Yellowfish has habitat, diet and behavior in common with trout, making it the best local species for fly fishing.
