And I shall call him... Mini-Me!

How many of you own the same toolset in multiple sizes?  Wenger/Vic combos count!  Let’s see those pics.

I’ll start with a Fieldmaster and Artisan in matching black scales.

Some of the obvious would be Tinker and Spartan . . . I will continue this with the more esoteric.

Victorinox 91mm Camper:

Wenger 84mm SwissBuck Trekker (the traditional Wenger model was the Backpacker II):

Not quite so mini . . .

130mm RangerGrip 178

111mm 2008 Soldier (or current GAK; take your pick)

Family Photo:

Selected the 2008 Soldier as it also has the dual density grips; the current GAK does not. In addition, the 91mm and 84mm Vics and 85mm Wengers all have a blade or nail file opposing the main blade. Otherwise both have equivalents to these.

Here's a chart I made with the same toolsets - or as similar as possible accounting for the constraints of the size form factors

Wow - these are truly impressive groups! I didn’t even know the artisan existed!!

Here’s my humble mini-me pairing, an alox solo with an alox hunter pro, both in red.

Old habits die hard, as they say. One I figure out what tool set works for me, I tend to stick with that... So it's good to know what the mini and mega versions of a particular tool are. I had usually given away the Hiker as a gift to my friends that are into outdoor stuff. It wasn't until later that I realized that the Hiker is the Trailmaster in regular clothes.

Just yesterday, after pondering the meaning of life and trying to decide what tool to add to my keychain... I realized that the Leatherman Micra is almost the same toolset as the original PST.  :tu:

It’s just that the PST is awesome, while the Micra sucks. Imho, of course  :hatsoff:

Trekker.... Trailmaster....  My understanding is that more places in the world have it marketed as Trailmaster.

I discovered that the small scissors on the classic can handle like 95% of my scissor needs. So I no longer really need the larger SAK scissors. Most of the stuff the small ones cannot handle, the 91mm could not handle either, so I would grab regular scissors anyway.
