Something you don't see too often: a George Wostenholm I*XL knife handled in wood. This one is a souvenir of Bermuda and came in it's original box.The rear of the tang is stamped,"Firth's Stainlees" which is an early 1920's stamp.

Can't believe no one has posted a knife for WHW! Here is one I dug out of the vault yesterday. An old Smith & Wesson folder designed by Blackie Collins.Unusual in that the shield is on the opposite side from normal and there is no nail nick. There is also a small piece of plastic attached to the back spring that acts as a blade cushion when closing to prevent the point from being damaged.
This one was missing the shield when I got it and the lock didn't seem to function all the time.A little cleaning internally and the lockup problem was cured. For a replacement shield I found an old gold plated military button from a uniform and attached it with CA adhesive.

That was a recent acquisition from an estate sale. There were quite a few knives at the sale and there were two of the Catt whittlers;one of which had been considerably sharpened. This one almost looked like a spare and showed little evidence of ever seeing a stone.
