scissor spring defect
on: November 25, 2008, 10:28:42 PM
I have a suspension, and the only problem that I have had with it is the scissor spring. Whenever I use the scissors, the spring pops out. Anyone else have this problem?

oh, maybe 6 months ago I was looking at those nasty things people were saying about it, but mine has held up for quite a while considering the abuse.

Just file a slant on both spring tip and where it contacts the handle so it's pinned against the other handle.

Yup same problem with my friends suspension, guess you can mod it though the spring is just a piece of bent wire anyways. the suspension is not carpy its just a very poorer quality tool compared to other branded tools  :D

I don't think I have ever said anything bad about it  but I do tend to babble a bit :D I think hawkchucker has broken a few of these is the reason for his dislike of the tool ::) ;)

Bah, I think the Suspension is a stout, strong, robust sort of tool. The problem is that Hawkchucker guy is just SOOOO darn abusive! :twak: :D
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

if I can remember correctly, Hawkchucker (I remember his avatar) was complaining that a Wal-Mart version was made of aluminum and broke under little pressure. Am I correct?

Nope not the pin. But the Collar it went into. Then the thing just exploded. (second one) Then E Danny did the video and his exploded the same way. But I still think everyone needs to try it out on thier own.

Even though the designers still mailed the whole tool in.

hey, if you could change the text below your avatar it would be great, considering we just established that not all suspensions are pieces of crap.

It wouldn't be the same without his Suspension cursing!  :D

Besides, from his experiences they were crap.
