Day 22

Golfer and some more package opening. :) I know, it's starting to get boring even for me, but what can I do? :D Because of my job I'm pretty much a wallflower nowadays.

Day 22: Forcing a cylinder to move down, as for some reason it would not push down the thing it was meant to push down.... Soldier to the rescue.

Cool. What kind of work do you do?

I'm a technician and team leader for a manufacturing facility. I mostly repair, maintain, and improve assembly machines these days. And babysit adults

How about yourself?

That sounds cool. I'm in manufacturing too. I work at a company that builds avionics for launch vehicles (rockets). My education was in electrical engineering, but now I'm in management.

I'm about to head back to school in the spring to get my Bachelor's in technical leadership so I'm heading for your spot. We make automation and controls equipment. Boring products but I love the company. I like to think having some tech/floor time under my belt will make me a better manager some day!

Depends on what state ya live in. In mine, the state owns and operates the stores, and they have set hours that don't accommodate night shift, haha. Though now slowly other stores are being allowed to sell beer and wine here... But it's growing very slowly, and their selection is usually quite limited. Liquor is still only sold in state owned stores.

Day 24

Carrying on with the Golfer. Today I used it to cut up a nice Bavarian Weisswurst and also to open the mustard package but it wasn't really appropriate to take pictures at the place.

Day 25... When you can't find what you need in the storage system, on your boss's secret shelf of spare parts, or the bottom drawer of the hoarder Tech's toolbox.... Check the junk shelf. Braving the wilderness that is the miscellaneous mechanical room, my trusty Sportsman brings me comfort and slices deep into the belly of long ago taped up boxes with cryptic labels and sharpie scribbling.

Day 25

Switched to the DofE today and seems "I fell off the wagon", went back to old habits: package opening again. At least something nice this time, my first 108 mm Vic, a Bundeswehr knife. (And with two layers, it's a minimalist SAK, I mean GAK!) In the evening I also cut up some bacon - a safety blade 91 mm SAK is really not the best tool for that, but that's the challenge part of the challenge, isn't it? And it did the job alright anyway.
