Hi folks! I hope everyone is content and happy around here.


I have a minichamp problem. My adored Royal Topaz scale is loose from one side and it easily comes off. It doesn't snap in place any more and I lost my tweezers. I might loose the scale alltogether. I have an Aquamarine proper scale, as on the other side, plus some mundane red cellidor ones, But I like it as it was all these years. What could I do? Loctite? Glue? Gum? Pray?

I can understand why you want to keep that lush scale KK. A bit of glue will sort it out. Just a dab on each pivot should do. As long as you make sure it's clear drying you probably won't even know it's been repaired.  :salute:

I use Goop. Works great.

That UHU glue, was super glue, not paper glue, right? Cause the paper one doesn't have enough strength for the job...  :salute:

I would prefer to use a 2 part epoxy for that, like Araldite. It's more flexible (less brittle when dry), and it doesn't soften or "melt" the cellidor like some super glues can...

It's the Universal Glue. Araldit is nice but I had none left. I have Bison and Logo at home (. For the time being, everything looks OK. If it comes off again I will use something stronger.
