IDENTIFY ZIPPO
on: September 28, 2018, 07:55:19 PM
Hello people,

I am having difficulty identify this old zippo. I have even tried reverse imaging the zippo but no luck.
It’s a Harley Davidson matte green zippo XVI C 2000. Cannot find any information on it, if you could tell me if it’s genuine or not that would be great pretty’s ure it’s genuine thought just need help identifying it and any other info about it.

What info can there be apart from the fact it's a Zippo?

They made thousands of prints and colour combos...

Also, the pic is neither sharp enough nor does it show enough of the sides in sufficient detail to allow any certain identification, even for experts (which I'm not).
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Maybe you could upload a couple of sharper images so the members here who know about lighters can tell you something about it. Also, head on over to the new member forum when you get the chance and introduce yourself! I am sure you will receive a warm welcome.

Welcome to the forum. A sharper image would probably help a bit. All I can say is that it's got the old style bottom... I'm not sure if that's of any help really?

Welcome to :MTO:  :tu:

From what I can see in the pic it looks real and what kind of info are you looking  if it is age, then you can go to their website and usually get an idea of how old they are :tu:

This link might help :salute:

Supply the word SAK into your statement instead of zippo, step back and ask yourself that question again ::) :D

Welcome Zippo master

You could try taking a rubbing of the bottom of the lighter then post a picture of that?
(hold some paper on the lighter then rub a pencil across it)

Everything’s adjustable

It’s really not difficult to date newer zippos. Why not try googling zippo dating, it will tell you it was made in March in the year 2000. Since then all zippos have the actual date stamped on them.
From 1986 to 2000 they used Roman numerals, before 1986 it was a system of slashes and dots //// ... \\\ etc. From memory the first zippos were made back in the 1930s.
Value wise, your used zippo is worth anything from £2 to £15 over here.

Hi, taking out the insert and providing some clearer pictures will also help in providing info for your Zippo.  Good luck and Welcome.
