He's young and "love" is just as powerful as any narcotic. These youngins' have to learn to "slow their roll" IMO. I remind mine to follow their lifes dreams and if they have someone they'll either support/encourage or not and in that case forge ahead. Many of my friends joined after HS and many retired after serving 20 and 20+ years. Some got degrees while in and went on to have second pretty amazing careers. The ones who retired without degrees also have pretty great careers. Now they are looking at a second retirement and not even 60 years old yet. I kick my self in the arse often for going to culinary arts school.Navy is a great choice. He'll see some amazing places and possibly come out west to California. Then he'll be in trouble with the beach and all the hotties his eyes can handle
