I really like the size and shape of the Trapper pattern.
However, 99% of time the Spey blade is unused while I often miss a shorter blade (aka a large Jackknife Pattern).

Christmas I gifted myself a Dremel 3000 on sale.
Now the cruelty begins.

First of all: I ensured cooling by placing the knife in a kitchen box with water and some tissue underneath so the blade is either slightly submerged or has full contact with water or wet paper on the underside.

I started with the nail nick which I marked when knife was closed, then the cutting itself which took some time and final grinding and rough polishing.

Long story short: it worked pretty darn well and I am really looking forward onto carrying it.

Do we have a modification badge?  :whistle:

I absolutely hate trapper pattern knives, just for reason that you state.  I generally use all three blades, on my stockman's, but have never used the spay blade on a trapper.

I use both blades on my Trapper when I was carrying it.  I like the mod since it'll serve you and more importantly you'll use the blade.   :tu:
