After a light stropping, hair popping paper slicing sharp!

Slicing veggies for lunch; wow, is this knife sharp and slicey!

The strop i do use, it's one i cut last year from a birch bracket, in my mind it does work although it probably wont compete with a good leather strop, it was free and they are readily available and the good news is if you cut yourself making one just slice a bit off and use as a plaster, it is antiseptic, anti fungal and has a whole raft of other beneficial uses  :tu:

And on to the sharpness pics, finally a good use for the good old Friday Herald  :tu:

And the other sharpeners i have scattered around, V sharp 2, two Vics a Wenger, a blade tech and the Opi has a little steel in the sheath

Day 26 - A Stockman today. Had no trouble cutting ends of wire ties placed to hold a bike’s flag stick.

So beautiful knives and nice post.

Day 26

For me it was cutting some dog treats into smaller pieces with the Sodbuster Jr to replenish the container I keep for walks and training.

I am... I'm eating far too much of the stuff at the moment. Although, I did have chasen's chilli last night with the addition of Melinda's hot sauce and some lime juice - I enjoyed that immensely.  :2tu:

It just seems wrong to see the same knife used for opening cat litter to then be used for food.  I’ve probably done similar, but never thought about it until you see the pictures side be side.

Day 26 Bonus

The Navy Sodbuster Jr setting its new sister free.

I wasn’t expecting to like the Sodbuster Jr as much as I do.  So when I saw the purple, I got it too.

It’s not dirty cat litter, it’s a bag of fresh new wood pellets that I use as cat litter

That being said, I did clean the knife before I used it on the gooseberries ;)

It's hard to understand the popularity of the sodbuster jr until you have one in hand.
Even copies are nice as long as they stay true to the original.
