Kudos to SOG...
on: April 06, 2019, 01:59:20 AM
...for making a few models with San Mai blades.  My new Vulcan Tanto arrived today, and while it is a little on the small side vs. the locking folders I normally carry, I really like it so far.  I would have preferred the drop point blade shape, but when I discovered the tanto was San Mai while the drop point was solid VG-10, that sold me on the tanto.  Hope to see more models with San Mai (and of course Arc-Locks) in the future!

It is the full-size, not the mini.  Mini is also offered in San Mai though.

Would be interested in hearing how the SM works out for you after a fair bit use.

It's become part of my carry rotation, so I'll keep you posted.

That is one sexy knife. I like the edges and lines of it. I have two folders and a fixed blade Vulcans. The only thing I wish SOG had done differently is the GFN handle. It feels dry. Kraton would have been nice.
