Well done, Charlie Fox.

Feels like we are entering that phase of life. The one we used to witness in our parents when they would comment on the Humphrey Bogart or an actor of similar era passing.

Not that Mayhew was a Bogart in terms of acting, but in terms of pop culture, yes.

Everything I've read about Peter Mayhew indicated he was a kind and gentle soul. I'll never forget seeing him on screen for the first time back in '77 when I was in second grade. That roaring, lovable sasquatch of a character was sure fun to see.
