Beautiful! Great work. Were you the guy who put a similar hacksaw in a Wave a while back?

Why cant Leatherman bring us an anodized Charge? I would love a factory anodized Charge....

Thanks guys,

Yes a factory anodising leatherman would be nice, but they have to let some room for modders!

My guess is anodizing process would have to be outsourced to a 3rd party shop compounding the overall product's retail cost to the levels beyond the reach of most.

Charge in its 'native' form is already too-$$$ rich for many bar hard-core MT enthusiasts and collectors. Especially since there's tools like Wave available for a bit less.

Although I do like anodized look of both Aluminium and Titanium, I'm quite content with oxidizing, those four Ti plates oxidize quite nicely to a subdued dark gray gun metal finish.

I really like this mod.

@ Psycopyro:
Does the Charge need modifying, to fit in the hacksaw blade, or does the modded hacksaw blade just fit into the existing space?

Also you mentioned that you used Inconel 625 for the axis pins. Was there a specific reason of this or was it just suitable stock that you had available at the time?

Cheers

Thanks!

No need modification of the leatherman body, the blade fit perfectly on the gap between scale and body.

To slip down the hacksaw, I just have to unfold the wood saw, press the bottom lock, and blade goes down. The lock is very strong and when the hacksaw is completely unfold, the blade is well maintained.

Maybe reduce the lock a little bit may help the blade to go down easier, I have to press the spring quite strongly. (stopper flush with body).

The thread M4 is bigger than the original one, probably a UNF thread and there is not so much material left, and I work in metal industrie, and have access to exotic materials, that's why. Inconel materials have such good proprieties!

Ahh, so the blade inside the tool has a stub & a locking notch?

Would of liked to see a phot of the blade before it was installed, for prosperity and all.  :salute:

Hi guys,

I'm back with some answsers and new mod !

First I did not use that much the metal saw, It is quite fragile and have always had a better tool to cut metal.
So I decided to remove it and had a saw holder attached with the two point of the TTI.

Now pictures:
