Situation Report:

U Boat has been evacuated and scuppered  - all personnel have been reassigned to the land based HQ. Due to the toll taken living aboard a submarine for 5 years, the crew are gradually acclimatising to life on land. Sunlight, fresh air and breezes are all alien to us. This weekend marks the momentous occasion - the removal of our welders goggles - we will experience natural light. We will apply sunblock and venture outside for that rarest of vitamins available to the submariner: D

The crew has started work on the maintenance team at the local college, which is great fun and much more like life aboard the U Boat than you could imagine. Herding stray baby seagulls out of the canteen area, adopting lost Racing pigeons who insist on keeping us company, and feeding and watering it whilst trying to trace its owner from the rings on its legs, are but two of the exciting missions we have undertaken. There is a LOT of physical labour, under the hot hot sun, but plenty of salty humour to carry us through.

It hasn't left much time for multitool.org I'm afraid, but this will change I hope. I have been using my trusty Spirit each and every day, so that's a plus.

I hope to catch up on a few threads this weekend.

What Ho Fella's!

I read today that there is an abandoned submarine on the floor of the Norwegian Sea emitting high levels of radiation - you wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?  :pok:

Abandoned is a highly emotive term Sync. We prefer to say the U boat has been left on the sea bed as a gift to Cthulhu and the Old Ones and as a bonus it glows in the dark and keeps the surrounding area nice and warm.

You're welcome Norway.

Well you might have told me Mags, I've been sat here for a week! No wonder it's smurfing quite (apart from the screaming at night... and during the day).  :twak:
