I’m hopefully going to have scales and a sheath made by the time this gets started!! I have a Cam. Western. It’s not the best, but it is actually a pretty good blade. I like the size, shape and spine. I hated the rubber scales and junk sheath. It’s a perfect candidate for my first scale project and leather sheath. I do a bit of leather work, but nothing too in depth. I’m excited to get started. I was able to cut off a piece of Oak 2x12 that was left over from a replacement trailer deck. It’s supposed to be a better quality board to stand up to the abuse of heavy equipment being loaded and transported.

This year, we've got the Nessmuck challenge running in September.  That challenge will feature a fixie, a folder, and an axe/machete.  If you wanted to focus on just a fixie (and go for the 30 Fixed badge), you'd be quite welcome to join in the Nessmuck challenge.

Otherwise, you could pick a month and set a challenge. If there isn't anything else going on, I'd likely join in. I'm always happy to carry a fixie.  :D

A foder and a fixie I could do just fine, however, an axe would be really hard to carry daily to the office, or find daily uses, for it, in an urban environment...

For now, I'll wait for something to come up.

The Nessmuck challenge doesn't require you to carry all three tools at once. That leaves a lot of flexibility.   :dunno:
