Lovely handle!  Like the Svord, I think the Opinels are just full of possibilities and they are more better finished for use too.

In future, if we all can title entry posts with “DAY xx” that would be great... Helps us differentiate from other picture comments...

Wow, 10+ hour ride... Don’t know how you guys can manage... I get jittery on 2 hour plane rides... that’s when I start to miss my smoke...

I actually bought wenger to my spouse years ago. Seems she is not wenger fan so I have used nailclipper myself. Maybe next time try vic nailcard and if she do not use that either, I get that to own use as well

Oops, sorry about that, post amended.  :tu:

I stopped* smoking ten years ago, but I still occasionally smoke a pipe... They frown about that sort of thing on trains though.

Day 3

A classic in its own right and a favorite of many, the PST II.

I recieved mine just yesterday, swapped the half-serrated blade for a rescued PE one from an original PST, as I intend this to be a regular part of my EDC. Light scuffs on the handles and some wear on the jaws, but it's in very decent shape otherwise, especially considering it's quite an early model with 0496 and 0596 stamps.

Wilco!  I think it is a nice touch to have "last update" on the spreadsheet(for example, updated until Day 2), so some of us with earlier time zone won't worry their "future" (Day 3)posts didn't count.

DAY 3,
The flashlight that I haven't used on this trip. ::)
(Because of the really short nights)

I have the exact same light!  Love that small form factor and few levels to choose from.  I always prefer Twisty, especially for small AAA lights, than clicky since it is usually shorter and one less thing to fail.

Indeed, this is practically the only light I use. :D

Alan, what's the story here?  >:D :pok:
There's no story. It's just a padlock on my gate. I have two gates, one on either side of the yard and they are usually locked because I prefer the stuff in my yard to stay there.

DP, I gonna make a flashlight comparison to my current EDC with the Thrunite on the Day4 post for you.  I think it is one of the smallest AAA with great quality, and you may like that too. :D
