Day 5/30

Boring day at work, mostly meetings and paperwork :twak: :ahhh

Doing christmas stuff in the evening. Opening incence cone packages Ive bought on my way home and removed burned down candles on the christmas pyramid.
German things. Not sure if anyone outside the country knows.

Oh and I got a "new" PST in a new to me worn out sheath.
No date codes, only one side of handle stamped with Leatherman Too, Portland OR and US REG TM number. And the more pointy blade plus no hardwire notch. have to look for time of production.

The pliers are somewhat stiff, wire cutters grind on each other making it hard to open when closed. Anyone got an idea how to fix it?

You can see those candle powered pyramids here too  :tu:

It seems that the pliers on your new PST were not really used yet. A bit of oil and some repetitive opening/closing action should loosen it up  :dunno:

Day 5
Great pics and usage today.  :like:

Had to tighten a crimp on a terminal today for a new battery in my gate motor. Also patch a tent’s groundsheet that we’ll be using this holiday.  :salute:

Funnily enough (and I'm not making this up) the best places to find old clay pipes, or rather bits of them, is old farm midden sites. My brother and I used to find loads of them as children mostly stems, but occasionally a mouth piece or very rarely an intact bowl  :ahhh... Ah, life was simpler back then... (sigh)...

Might be something in that, i found this one stuck in a dyke next to an old midden, must have been a great place to stand and chat  :tu:

Another good place is old field drains, the clay pipe type, you know,... the ones that got destroyed when the weight of horses changed to the weight of tractors, dig down to clear it and your almost sure to find one, broken of course, man they must have smoked like chimneys back then  :D

Thanks guys, i thought i might have had another one but must be mistaken, can't see another so will just continue on with this  :tu:

Not sure how this picture will come out but there seems to be a darker patch of metal, to the right of red dots which may indicate it was already fractured some time ago, split pin was the straw that broke the camels back i'm thinking

(Image removed from quote.)

If i bought it new then yes i would send it but i didn't so i don't feel it's my warranty, hard to explain but i know what i mean, i bought it sight unseen with no warranty, i'm happy to let it go  :tu:

I think you might well be right.  I also totally understand your position on the warranty as well.  :salute:
