Awls really are the best tools for package opening... no sticky residue smeared on a blade! :tu:
:iagree:110%  I don’t know why but I am more than happy to keep using the awl!

Day 21
The Champion again.  Why take a garden shot with the can opener?  Because, why not.

I never have the privilege to have one, but I do firmly believe in what Samual Jackson said in Pulp Fiction, 'Dog has personality' and they do!

Yes, they do!

Day 21
Just a WorkChamp beauty shot today.  :salute:

Always found the texture on the slide button interesting.

Never looked at one up close, but it is interesting texture.

Day 21 of 30

My GAK was helping me today to slice apple at work. Also tested saw today.
This day was also fieldtest for my GAK. Tested blade, saw and awl today, didnt find any use for corkscrew or opener today

Only Tools Matters

Knice GAK

Nice knives all around especially with the new arrivals. The seller of my recent lot has been tardy with sending it, and it may not make it before the end of the challenge.

I hope your new ones arrive soon.  The wait is sometimes so awlful.

Day 22

Wenger Dynasty Lancelot

With a tool set similar to Victorinox Champion Plus, Lancelot is a fancier alox version of the red cellidor Monarch in the Wenger lineup.  Though I am a big fan of Victorinox at heart, I think often times Wenger is a more adventurous twin sister which has lived a more colorful life than her bigger sister.

How did you like the wood saw?  I think it might be overly aggressive and takes a lot of force to make it work, but it could be a personal preference.

:like: That really is something I awl to try next!  I have been alternating between the big and small blade for all these years, never did occur to me to use the awl instead!

More great knives, everyone! Comis, I agree with you, Wenger were definitely more adventurous with their knives as a read of the SAKWIKI shows! Nonetheless, I usually prefer Vics, even if I can’t quite explain why!

Day 22

Using the awl on my Swissair 234k to open some fat blocks for the bird feeders before I head out to work:

I am with you on this--I had been a die hard fans for Vic since I was young, I even remembered arguing with my fellow Scouts about whether Wenger was just a good imitation of Victorinox and probably was a fake knife brand.

But as I started collecting SAKs, I start to grow the appreciation of Wenger and the rest was history. :D
